The country vocal group 4 Runner toured with Tim McGraw, Blackhawk, and Kenny Rogers during the 1980s and '90s, and moved to the big leagues themselves with an album in 1995. Lead Craig Morris had appeared with Marie Osmond and Ronnie McDowell before he met baritone Billy Simon in Nashville, where both were working as staff writers. Working around Music City led them to the doors of bass vocalist Jim Chapman and tenor Lee Hilliard, who had sung with Loretta Lynn.
