The daughter of a music teacher, Argentinean-born Amanda Miguel decided to pursue a related career after moving to Buenos Aires from her native Chubut, taking piano and singing classes. After meeting singer/songwriter Diego Verdaguer, she joined him in forming an act called Mediterr+íneo and touring the local club circuit.
