Formed by former Buckcherry bassist Jonathan Brightman in 2008, Black Robot are a classic rock throwback based out of Los Angeles, California. Recruiting singer Harold Johns, the band recorded its debut album in 2008, a year before Brightman filled out the band with guitarists Andy Andersson and Staffan Österlind and drummer Possum Hill, giving Black Robot all the tools they would need to bring their Aerosmith and Lynyrd Skynyrd-influenced sound to the people. In 2010, the quintet finally released its self-titled debut, but ran into trouble the following year when it was announced that Johns had left the band. Later that year, singer Jeremy Aric joined the band, and Black Robot went back into the studio to work on their second album with producer Dave Cobb. ~ Gregory HeaneyPortions of Content Provided by Rovi Corporation.
