Chilean Latin rock band Canal Magdalena played for the first time at their native city of Valparaiso in 1995. Formed by friends who met in the late '80s and shared their passion for music, the group recorded their first song in April of 1997. "Por Tu Corazón En La lavadora" was produced by Lucybell's keyboardist Gabriel Vigliensoni and was included in a compilation called La Invasión De Los Hombres Bizarro. Soon, Canal Magdalena signed up to Warner Music, releasing an EP called Espuma, issuing their first album in September of 1998. Teledirigido, produced by Argentinean Daniel Melero, hit local charts with its singles "Espuma" and "Yo Soy El Angel." That record was presented live at a local club on October 29, 1998. In the year 2000, the band participated in a tribute to Los Prisioneros with "Mentalidad Televisiva." ~ Drago BonacichPortions of Content Provided by Rovi Corporation.
