Nu metal outfit CastorTroy (not to be confused with the screamo Castor Troy from Wisconsin, the hardcore Castor Troy from the U.K., or the Canadian DJ with the same name) formed in Mississippi during the summer of 2005 around vocalist Chris Scott, guitarist Michael Dunnaway, drummer Matt White, and bassist Marcus Trebotich. They quickly developed a solid live show, and after entering and winning the Bud Big Stage Search III band competition, they were selected to play the CPR Fest X in Biloxi, MS, in front of nearly 10,000 people, and later shared the stage with Staind, Saliva, and Hinder. In 2006 they released their first full-length CD, Where Do I Go from Here, and a live DVD soon after. As the band started gaining momentum, Chris Henderson, guitarist for 3 Doors Down, took notice and offered to record their next project, Patience Above, an EP scheduled for release in August of 2007. ~ Jason Lymangrover
