Coasting formed in Brooklyn, NY in 2009, a collaboration between Fiona Campbell (a New Zealand transplant and former member of the Coolies) and Madison Farmer, whose grimy, bleary-eyed surf-style guitars, murky vocals, and primeval pop sensibilities give a nod to indie pop acts like Best Coast, Brilliant Colors, and the Drums. Coasting's debut 7" single was released on the D.C.-based label M'Lady's Records in 2010. A cassette EP on Sixteen Tambourines and a couple more 7" singles (one via Group Tightener and another via Atelier Ciseaux) were slated for release later that year. ~ Margaret RegesPortions of Content Provided by Rovi Corporation.
