The Cover Girls, formed in 1986, was the project of songwriter/producer Andy "Panda" Tripoli and music promoter Sal Abbatiello. The New York-based dance-pop group featured a revolving lineup of vocalists that began with Caroline Jackson, Louise "Angel" Sabater, and Sunshine Wright. The trio got off to a hot start. Five of the eight songs from Show Me, their 1987 debut album, reached at least one Billboard singles chart.
