Born Dean Delannoit on January 27, 1989, pop singer Dean was best known as the winner of [RoviLink="VW"]Idool 2007, Belgium's answer to the worldwide phenomenon -- of the time -- known as "the reality television pop star talent contest." Performing songs such as the Rolling Stones' "Start Me Up" and "Let's Work Together" by Canned Heat, as well as tracks by Metallica, Neil Young, and a handful of Belgian artists, Dean soon found himself the victor, with a recording deal and a hit single on the charts. That single, "So Many Ways," was a number two smash, and led nicely into the release of his debut album, also titled So Many Ways, which hit the top spot on the Belgian charts. ~ Chris TruePortions of Content Provided by Rovi Corporation.
