One of several garage bands to boast the Intruders name, this particular group deserves special consideration for recording "Now That You Know," a classic of the folk-punk genre. Formed in Pittsfield, IL in 1964, the Intruders survived a series of roster changes, comprising frontman Doug Oakley, guitarists Bill Mobus and Bob ‘Bub' Evans, bassist Larry Lemons and drummer Jeff Hallows by the time of recording "Now That You Know" for the It label in mid-1966--suggesting a more primitive Byrds, the single was a local hit but failed to attract interest from a national label. The Intruders dissolved not long after. ~ Jason AnkenyPortions of Content Provided by Rovi Corporation.
