Born on Prince Edward Island and raised in Halifax, Canadian singer/songwriter Jenn Grant rose to local attention in 2005 with her jazzy, Feist-influenced folk/pop. Although originally self-released, her first EP earned Grant a contract with Paris 1919 Records, which released the full-length album Orchestra for the Moon in 2007. Grant then jumped ship for Six Shooter Records, releasing the sophomore effort Echoes two years later. ~ Andrew Leahey
