Atlanta-based singer and songwriter Justin Beckler grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he learned guitar and began writing songs at a young age. After his high school rock band fizzled, Beckler gave up on music, and focused his creative energy on screenwriting. But a chance encounter with a Bob Dylan album changed his course, and soon Beckler was writing songs once again. Influenced by Dylan, Waits, and Bowie, Beckler recorded and self-released his proper debut Crowded Rooms in his adopted hometown of Atlanta, garnering local acclaim. ~ Johnny Loftus
