Combining classical training with improvisational skills and an eclectic musical background, virtuosic musician Michael DeLalla has gained wide acclaim for his performances of traditional and original styles on 12-string, classical, and steel string guitar. In addition to his own recordings, DeLalla has found work as a guest artist on various recordings and runs Falling Mountain Records in Winchester, VA. Breaking in as primary songwriter for the seminal Oxymora from 1980 to 1987, DeLalla would go on to release two albums with the Celtic trio the Unfortunate Rakes. 1991 would see the release of his solo debut, And Then…or Somewhat Later, with a collection of holiday tunes, entitled There Is One Story and One Story Only, being released in 1995. Soli, a set of solo guitar compositions, would follow in 2000. When not in the studio, DeLalla is a frequent performer at concerts and festivals, as well as a featured teacher at guitar workshops. ~ Matt FinkPortions of Content Provided by Rovi Corporation.
