Madison, WI, collective Pale Young Gentlemen got their start as a three-piece bedroom band consisting of brothers Michael and Matt Reisenauer and multi-instrumentalist friend Brett Randall. They soon added Milwaukee bassist Andrew Brawner and cellist Elizabeth Weamer to the lineup and moved the act from the bedroom to area venues. Moving quickly up the gig ladder, the band found itself opening for such notable act as Beach House and the Clientele and simultaneously working on its self-titled debut. After that album's release in late 2006, the group began concentrating on getting the word out by hitting the road hard throughout the rest of that year. Black Forest (Tra La La) arrived in 2008. ~ J. Scott McClintockPortions of Content Provided by Rovi Corporation.
