The first Canadian band signed to England's Stiff label, the Pointed Sticks were launched in 1978 by vocalist Nick Jones, guitarist Bill Napier-Hemy, bassist Scott Watson, drummer Ken Montgomery, keyboard player Gord Nicoll and saxophonist Tony Bardach. After several singles, the band released their debut album, Perfect Youth, in 1981. ~ John Bush
