Comprised of Joe Kremer, Matt Marlin, and Kurt Beals and packing an intense, complex sound that drew from bands like Polvo and Modest Mouse, Pterodactyl started formulating their brand of shrieking, stomping indie rock in the early 2000s. The band formed in Ohio and relocated to Brooklyn, where it attracted the attention of Brah Records. The band's self-titled debut (unofficially known as "Bluejay") came out in 2007. They returned two years later with the matured Worldwild, followed in 2011 with Spills Out. ~ Margaret RegesPortions of Content Provided by Rovi Corporation.
