Sasha Sokol

A Mexican singer and actress, Sasha Sokol was born in Mexico City on June 17, 1970. She began her musical career as a member of the popular teen pop group Timbiriche, but she left that group in 1986 to pursue acting. The call of music was strong, however, and Sasha was lured into a solo singing career a year later, and made her solo debut, Sasha. Over the next 20 years, Sokol would release more hit albums, as well as a sizable number of singles, compilations, and even a handful of DVDs.
