Bio Full Biography »

Serum came together in Boston, MA in 1994 when Irish-born singer/guitarist Siobhan McAuley of the Trojan Ponies reunited with her former bandmate, drummer Jason Dumont. With ex-Hullabaloo guitarist (Mark Lax) and Boston Herald rock critic/Dirt Red bassist Tristram Lozaw, who met McAuley while interviewing her for an article, this quartet set out to create moody and deeply textured pop rock melodies. Lax and Lozaw were replaced by Chris Blue and Chip Sheppard in 1998. That same year the band's debut album, Dirty Girl Scout, featuring all four original members, was released on the band's own Black Egg Records label. ~ Roxanne Blanford
