Contemporary electric soul-blues vocalist and songwriter Sweet Miss Coffy paid her dues playing keyboards in the backing bands of performers like Albert King, Artie "Blues Boy" White, and Johnny Adams, to name a few. Upon beginning her own solo career, Coffy assembled a backing unit called the Mississippi Burnin' Blues Band, headed up by her producer/arranger husband Willie James Hatten, who had long been active on the Jackson, MS, blues scene. Her albums include 1994's With the Mississippi Burnin' Blues Revue and 1995's Ring-a-Ling-a-Ding-Ding-Dong. ~ Steve HueyPortions of Content Provided by Rovi Corporation.
