The indie rock group Tel Aviv was formed in Louisville, Kentucky in 1994 by singer/multi-instrumentalist Andrew Comer and guitarist/synth player Jay Kraus, longtime best friends whose teen years were spent listening to Duran Duran and Wham! records.
