Alternative country-rock group the Doubtful Guest first came to the attention of the Bath, England, music scene when they won both the Moles Battle of the Bands and Porter CellarBar Battle of the Musos in 2004. The trio, composed of Andy Hill (vocals, guitar, harmonica, piano), Matt Prescott (bass), and Ed Jukes (drums), went on to perform at a number of festivals, including Glastonbury and the Secret Garden Festival in 2005. They also opened for Kimya Dawson, Patricia Vonne, and Josh Ritter.
