Composer and banjo player David Gould (of the Bootleg Remedy) and singer/songwriter Caroline Schutz (of Folksongs for the Afterlife) married in 2004 and formed the atmospheric rock duo the Inner Banks as a home-recording project in Brooklyn, NY, in 2005. Those recordings began to feature other guest musicians, and by the time the debut album The Inner Banks was released by DAG! Records on December 5, 2006, it also featured Greta Gertler (vocals), Amie Margoles (French horn), Colin Brigstocke (trumpet), Yusuke Yamamoto (vibraphone/Wurlitzer), Michael Block (cello), Sarah Crocker (violin), Noah Geller (violin), and several members of the Bootleg Remedy: Michael Gomez (lap steel), Dave Yantorno (guitar), Jim Mansfield (drums), and Doug Largent (upright bass). ~ William RuhlmannPortions of Content Provided by Rovi Corporation.
