Colin McCann started making recordings under the moniker the Lord Dog Bird when his main project, the Baltimore, MD-based indie rock outfit Wilderness, took a yearlong break starting in early 2007. While Wilderness were on hiatus, McCann recorded a collection of raw, rustic tunes that nodded to the likes of Bon Iver and Grizzly Bear. Wilderness sprang back to life in early 2008, and the Lord Dog Bird's self-titled debut full-length was released on Jagjaguwar that summer. ~ Margaret RegesPortions of Content Provided by Rovi Corporation.
