A noise pop quartet that owes its heavily reverbed sound to the Jesus and Mary Chain and the Swirlies, Thrushes were formed in Baltimore, Maryland by vocalist/guitarist Anna Conner, guitarist/vocalist Casey Harvey, bassist Rachel Tracy, and drummer Matt Davis. Having previously been active in the Baltimore music scene in the mid-'90s, Harvey and Tracy teamed up in summer 2005, later joined by Conner and Davis.
