Although Timmy T's brief career failed to yield much of a legacy, he nevertheless enjoyed several months of popularity in 1991, when he scored a chart-topping hit with "One More Try." The freestyle ballad went platinum by April, making Timmy T (born Timothy Torres in Fresno, CA) one of the only popular freestyle artists outside of the genre's headquarters in Miami and New York.
