French flutist and conductor Alexis Kossenko attended the Paris Conservatory, where he was a flute student of Alain Marion, and later studied at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam with Marten Root. In 1995 he won first prize in the Lions Club International Flute Competition, and in 2001, he won a special prize for best interpretation at the Jean-Pierre Rampal Flute Competition. He has performed with La Chambre Philharmonique, Le Concert d'Astr+¬e, Stradivaria, Ensemble Matheus, the Barokksolistene, the Paris Orchestral Ensemble, Orchestre d'Auvergne, Anima Eterna, Orches...
