Former Blue Aeroplanes member Trettine left the group in 1987 (where she appeared under her real name) and forged a solo career as an acoustic guitar-playing singer-songwriter in the mould of Joni Mitchell and contemporary Tanita Tikaram. Her strength lay in the haunting and melancholic style of such songs as ‘Sleep With Me' and ‘Guilty, Imagination And Turning'.
