The Brighton, England-based band Chungking (named after a film they liked called Chungking Express) was formed by musicians Sean Hennessey and James Stephenson, with Hennessey's then girlfriend Jessie Banks recruited as vocalist. The trio spent the next few months recording tracks and pressing demo CDs. A 12-inch somehow found its way into the hands of Tim ‘Love' Lee, the owner of Tummy Touch Records, who was so impressed that he tracked the trio down and signed them to his label.
