Hot Little Rocket

Calgary, Alberta's Hot Little Rocket were a melodic yet abrasive power pop/punk band. Guitarist Aaron Smelski and bassist Mark MacArthur, veterans in the Calgary scene, recruited guitarist Andrew Wedderburn in a classified ad. Drummer Joel Nye already had a long history of drumming for various bands in Saskatchewan, even before he joined the band. Their debut, Laika, came out in March 2000.
