Victoria, British Columbia, five-piece Jets Overhead originally formed as a quartet under the name the Special Guests in 1995. As the Special Guests, the group released an EP and a full-length for Canadian indie Attic Records, but the label went into bankruptcy just after the release of the band's debut full-length in 2000.
