Mountains and Rainbows

Mountains & Rainbows are a psychedelic garage rock group from Detroit led by vocalist/guitarist Matt Ziolkowski, also of lo-fi punks Tyvek. The group's sound varies from hooky garage pop to longer, hypnotic jams, but all of their work has a scrappy yet spirited feel, with Ziolkowski's shaky, exuberant vocals leading the charge. The group formed sometime during the mid-2000s, and has included several figures from the Detroit underground rock scene, with members of Little Claw, Soft Location, and Tyvek founder Kevin Boyer sitting in with the band at times.
