Unlike his sometime duo partner Mark Small, classical guitarist Robert Torres knew he wanted to play classical music for most of his youth. Although he enjoyed mimicking John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot and James Taylor, he was more inspired by the classical Spanish stylings of the Romero Family. Torres sought and received instruction early under the tutelage of a USC instructor.
