Self-described as "Woody Allen meets Syd Barrett," the Hairs are the musical outlet for Brooklyn-based musician Kevin Alvir. Since 2011, Alvir and occasional collaborators Jacob Sloan and Steve Tarkington have dished out a slew of colorful D.I.Y. freak pop releases for indie labels like Magic Marker, WeePop!, and Odd Box, taking inspiration from the golden age of Flying Nun and K Records bands.
