Originally raised in the Memphis area, Lewis Clark moved to Illinois and became involved in the music industry through radio. With a love of the Motown sound and rhythm and blues mixed with gospel, Lewis became a respected disc jockey in Illinois. With his DJ name being the Blues Doctor, Lewis would often perform at various gospel events, playing tunes but also occasionally performing them as well.
