New York's Miracle of 86 (named after the "miracle" Mets baseball team of 1986) is comprised of Kevin Devine (vocals/guitar), Mike Robertson (guitar), Chris McAllen (bass) and Mike Skinner (drums, formerly of Sidedoor Johnnies). Following a contribution to Deep Elm records' 1998 Emo Diaries Vol. 2 compilation, the band released its first record in November 2000 on Fadeaway records, re-issued a year later on Immigrant Sun.
