String Of Car Fires In Western Sydney Overnight

March 15, 2018

Police are investigating after two cars were found on fire in Sydney’s south-west in the early hours of this morning.

Just before 1am, emergency services rushed to Northam Avenue, Bankstown, following reports a car was alight.

Fire & Rescue NSW extinguished the fire and the vehicle, a Mitsubishi Lancer, was towed.

A mere half hour later, authorities were called to a second car fire on Adept Lane nearby.

The fire was extinguished before it caused any damage to nearby property.

No one was injured in either incident.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the car fires. Initial inquiries suggest the two incidents are not linked.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
