Let's give it up for the power of Adele! After turning the industry upside down with her comeback album, 25, the powerhouse singer is still racking in the records. This time she snagged a record for her one-hour NBC special "Adele Live in New York City," which aired on Monday night (December 14).
The program, which aired at 10 p.m., brought in 11.2 million viewers and a super strong 3.0 rating among adults 18 - 49-years-old, becoming the highest-rated concert special in 10 years. "Adele Live in New York City" delivered a larger adult demo rating than any broadcast network concert special since NBC aired "Eagles Farewell Tour" back in June 2005. It was also the top broadcast music special since CBS' "Beatles Grammy Salute" in February 2014.
Long story short, "Adele Live in New York City" brought in some major viewership (and probably a lot more tears.)
