The Texas "affluenza" teen wanted for violating his probation is in custody in Mexico.  Officials in Tarrant County say that Ethan Couch and his mother were detained yesterday evening near the resort town of Puerto Vallarta.

During a press conference today, Tarrant County Sheriff Dee Anderson said he hopes Ethan Couch will be extradited soon back to Fort Worth after his capture. Anderson said investigators learned from a source that Couch had some sort of a farewell bash before he and his mother left town. Anderson says authorities got intelligence that Couch and his mom crossed over the border driving a pickup truck and had planned their getaway.

Couch disappeared earlier this month after video emerged online that appeared to show him at a party where a beer pong game was being played.  A warrant was issued for his arrest after his probation officer couldn't get in touch with him.
