Americans are expected to bet more than 95-billion-dollars on NFL and college football this season.  That's according to a release from the American Gaming Association, which says less than four-percent of that total will be wagered through legal channels.

President and CEO Geoff Freeman says the popularity of illegal sports betting in the U.S. is at an all-time high and it's clear a federal ban on traditional sports betting outside of the Nevada is failing.  Nevada is currently the only state allowed under federal law to offer full service sports betting.  It's estimated Nevada sportsbooks took in more than $227-million last year.
