Authorities in Burkina Faso say the terror attack at a hotel in the capital has ended, with 126 hostages being freed. The Security Minister of the West African nation says security operations have driven the al-Qaeda fighters from the hotel they seized.

Three jihadists were killed in the operation. At least 20 people died when the gunmen stormed the hotel yesterday. The hotel is frequented by Westerners, and is often used by French troops. Ten more bodies were found at a restaurant across from the hotel.
