(NEWSER) – If only Caleb Shay Funke had invested in a clap-automated key finder. The 22-year-old showed up at the scene of a home burglary in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Saturday and was arrested shortly thereafter for the crime—all because cops say he left his car keys in the house, the Times-News reports. The homeowner had come home to a ransacked house, the paper notes, as well as an unfamiliar silver car parked behind the house.
As officers were peering into the locked car (where they say they could clearly see cash and jewelry on one of the seats), they say another car pulled up and dropped off Funke, who told cops a friend had borrowed his car and locked the keys inside, the Times-News notes.
