Ronnie Milsap, Hank Cochran and Mac Wiseman are being celebrated this weekend as the newest members of the Country Music Hall of Fame. They'll receive their formal welcome with the annual Medallion Ceremony.
The star-studded red carpet event will take place Sunday at Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Milsap, a six-time Grammy winner known for such crossover hits as "Smoky Mountain Rain" and "(There's) No Gettin' Over Me," is being inducted as a "Modern Era Artist."
Wiseman is joining the "Veteran Era Artist" category. It's a posthumous honor for Cochran, who passed away in 2010. The man who wrote hits for Patsy Cline, George Strait and others is being added in the "Songwriter" category.
