After Craig Strickland was declared missing following a duck hunting trip, police have confirmed that he has been found dead at 29 years old.

A spokesperson for Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed the sad news to E! and Oklahoma City's KOCO, and that the Backroad Anthem singer's body was found in an area called Bear Creek Cove in Oklahoma. 

Strickland's wife Helen had also confirmed that her husband had been found by tweeting, "#CraigStrickland was found today. He is safe with his Father in Heaven. Thank you Lord for leading us to him today. I will praise you, Amen."

Craig had been on a duck hunting trip during an ice storm with his friend Chase Morland, who was found dead in Kaw Lake. Craig and Chase's boat had also been found capsized, according to KOCO. Morland had even tweeted about the hunting trip beforehand, writing, "In case we don't come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma.#IntoTheStorm," which Craig had retweeted. 

Craig's family had been hopeful over the past week, his wife keeping everyone updated on the search status. On Monday she shared that the boat had been confirmed "as being capsized," and that they found his dog Sam. She also urged fans to "please keep praying."

Likewise, Backroad anthem had also shared a message of support during the search for their lead singer.
