As of recent, word has been flying around about Daft Punk making a big comeback in 2013. The rumors include that the duo would headline festivals like Coachella this year and that they were planning a tour of their own. Unfortunately it has now surfaced, that is not the case, and the rumors are not true.
According to NME.com, Bestival organizer Rob da Bank, Daft Punk will not be appearing live this year at all. He says, "There's all kinds of crazy rumors flying about at the moment about Daft Punk at Coachella, and The Rolling Stones playing Glastonbury. We got told months ago that Daft Punk were definitely not touring next year, but it keeps the rumor mill going."
Having been an inspiration to so many producers today, and with an army of loyal fans behind them, a live Daft Punk show has been a highly anticipated event. Can we at least have a hologram performance, Coachella?
Maybe next year.
