At least five babies are infected with potentially-deadly tuberculosis in what could be a mass exposure at a Texas hospital.  Health officials recently learned about a worker at Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso who may have exposed more than 800 people, including at least 700 babies.

The employee worked at a hospital nursery and interacted with patients for months before being diagnosed with active TB.  The disease is spread when someone with an active case coughs, sneezes or speaks.
