Back in October, we found out that Kanye West would be making a cameo on the upcoming final season of "American Idol," set to air this January, and now we're getting another look at the rapper's appearance on the show during his "audition" in San Francisco.
In previous clips, Kanye is shown performing his song "Gold Digger," but in a new clip, shared by Yeezy's wife Kim Kardashian on Twitter, we can see a little more of Kanye's audition. He even shares his back story. As he's in the room, before he performs, he's seen telling the judges:
"My name is Kanye. I’m from the south side of Chicago. I’m originally a producer. I always wanted to rap and no one really believed in me, so I wanted to try some things out, you know?"
Meanwhile, outside the audition room, Kim (pregnant with baby Saint at the time), is standing with Ryan Seacrest waiting to see if Kanye got his Golden Ticket to Hollywood. Kim tells Ryan, "I'm not nervous, because I do really believe in him."
The clip ends with Kanye coming out of the audition room, his wife asking "Did you make it to Hollywood?!"
Judging from Ryan Seacrest's previous Instagram a few months ago, looks like Yeezus is going to Hollywood. "Look who's going to Hollywood! #IdolAuditions #kanyewest," Ryan wrote along with a photo of Kanye waving his Golden Ticket in the air.
The final season of "American Idol" returns to Fox on January 6th.
