(NEWSER) – The Tennessee town of Mount Pleasant is living up to its name through its police officers, who responded to a call from an elderly disabled man in the best way possible.
WKRN reports that the PD received a call Saturday evening from the 79-year-old resident, who said he lived on a fixed Social Security income and that he hadn't had a bite to eat in two days. A caretaker had stolen his debit card the weekend before, he noted. So the officers showed up at his door with $160 worth of food (enough to last a month, per WAFF) that they paid for themselves—and they even put it all away for him.
