Clayton Kershaw pitched the Dodgers into the postseason as LA hammered the Giants, 8-0, in San Francisco. Kershaw fired a one-hitter, striking out 13 and walking just one as the Dodgers clinched their third straight NL West title.
Kike Hernandez, Justin Ruggiano and A.J. Ellis all slugged solo homers in the victory. Madison Bumgarner allowed three earned runs in five-and-two-thirds to fall to 18-and-9. The Giants have alternated winning the World Series and missing the playoffs in each of the last six years.
