Guitarist Gary Rossington, the last surviving member still playing in Lynyrd Skynyrd, suffered a heart attack last week. As a result, the band has canceled shows on Friday in Terre Haute, Indiana and Saturday in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Both shows will rescheduled in 2016.
Rossington is resting at home with his family and is expected to make a full recovery. The next show is scheduled for November 7th in Montgomery, Alabama.
The band shared the following message on their Facebook page:
"As Gary recuperates after suffering a heart attack late last week, the band regrets to announce that they’ll be canceling two upcoming performances. Full refunds are available at points of purchase for Friday’s show in Terre Haute, IN and the Mt. Pleasant, MI show will be rescheduled in 2016.
Gary is currently resting at home with his family and is expected to make a full recovery."
