(NEWSER) – Residents of Limerick, Maine, were disturbed when they saw "ISIS" spelled out in Christmas lights on a local's home, and one of them contacted the York County Sheriff's Office to report a possible terrorist sympathizer. Deputies went to investigate and found that the holiday decor did, in fact, include the word "ISIS" ... as well as a lighted Santa Claus situated above, "relieving himself" on the word, the sheriff says in a statement.

When deputies explained to the homeowner why they were visiting, and the fact that it's "not so clear" that Santa is supposed to be urinating on the offending word, "the homeowner stated he was going to rearrange the lights to clear up any doubts about his message," the statement says, per the Portland Press Herald.
