The Oregon Ducks will have a new starting quarterback next season. Marcus Mariota announced today that he is passing up his senior season to enter the NFL Draft. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner was expected to turn pro, but had not yet publicly stated that decision.
He passed for more than 4,400 yards, 42 touchdowns and just four interceptions this season, helping Oregon reach the first-ever College Football Playoff National Championship. Mariota also ran for 770 yards and 15 scores for the Ducks this season.
